The two princesses - A FOLK BALLET
The Two Princesses, is a traditional folk story that oFFers an engaging narrative which explores the key themes within the tale of family, love, magic and triumph.
Delving into the rich past of folklore for a strong narrative is where the creative inspiration for this project lies. The natural essence of story telling through folk music, and the fairytale/surrealist based origins of ballet has inFLuenced the collaborative process between folk artist, Lucy Ward, and contemporary ballet choreographer, Deborah Norris, to create an original work for both folk music and dance audiences.
